SS16 Hair & Beauty Trend from the catwalk

AUTHOR - DATE - 15/Oct/2015 / CATEGORY - 0 Comments

So, that’s it… fashion month is officially over for another season. The trends have been set and if there’s one thing we can’t stop thinking about, it’s the beauty trends of course. Now that the weather is dropping and autumn has officially set in, we’re excited for the spring styles to come around – and these in particular!

Trend: Minimal
Seen at: Everywhere
No trend was more apart than the no-makeup makeup look. From Gucci to Alberta Ferretti, everyone swore by it. Minimal makeup and beautiful bare faces graced the catwalk like never before. Simple makeup was matched with even simpler hair, like at Thierry Mugler. This trend couldn’t be more refreshing.

Trend: Slicked
Seen at: Balmain & Versace
A trend that’s shown no intention to leave is the chic and slicked look. Hair was neatly swept back at both Balmain and Versace and teamed with effortless bare faced looks. Knowing we all get to sport that fresh out of the shower (or pool) look again next summer is like a breath of fresh air.

Trend: Classic
Seen at: Burberry
Now for another style that we’re all glad is here to stay, let’s talk about that classic look. Every girl loves a strong red lip and a classic eye. Whether you prefer coral or plum, a cat eye or something a little more smoky, this chic little style can be carried out with ease and look great on everyone. Team with soft, feminine hair to be on top of the trends!

Trend: Boho
Seen at: Marchesa
Boho for spring and summer may not feel all that original, but if it works, why change it? Marchesa has the most effortless waves thanks to Toni & Guy and it’s a look that we can all create in our own way. Natural waves or wand-aid ones will be your new best friend come spring.

Trend: Twiggy
Seen at: Orla Kiely & Rochas
Perhaps the most daring beauty trend of them all, but chic all the same… its official, the sixties are back. Dubbed as Twiggy lashes across the catwalks, Orla Kiely & Rochas championed the retro look to complement their collections. Spidery lashes with a fresh faced look is our new favourite combo, but the question is – how will you wear yours?
