Tools needed:
2 hair ties/bobbles
clip in hair extensions (3 pieces)
backcombing brush or comb
salt spray
hair spray
tongs/hair straighteners
bobby pins
Step 1: Blake’s hair is always super long and extra thick so for this style we are using 3 pieces of clip in hair extensions (3 clips per piece).
Start by creating a small ponytail at the height where you would like the ponytail to be. Make sure there is hair left all around the ponytail as this will hide the hair extensions.
Step 2: Take the first piece of clip in hair extensions and clip around the base of the small ponytail. Continue with the other two pieces, placing them as close together as possible.
Step 3: Take the front section of hair and gently backcomb to create a little lift. Pull all of your hair together, over the small ponytail and hair extensions to create a full ponytail. Gently smooth over the top backcombed section and tie the ponytail with a bobble.
Step 4: With the ponytail in place with extra length, curl sections of hair to create a tousled effect and to allow your own natural hair to blend with the hair extensions. For added texture, use a salt spray on the ends of the hair and gently scrunch upwards.
Step 5: To finish the style, take a small section of hair from the underside of the ponytail and wrap around the bobble, using bobby pins to secure in place. Finish with a spritz of hairspray.
