With Christmas just around the corner we’re showing you our favourite looks for the festive season. Whether it’s for a school or work Christmas party, or just something that little bit different and special for Christmas day and nights out with friends.
Our inspiration this month is the beautiful Amanda Seyfried who has the most perfect blonde hair and golden eye makeup.
The side swept hair and deep parting is big right now, with both Amanda and Kristen Stewart sporting the look at their latest film premieres.
The trick is to create a very deep parting and sweep hair to one side and create large waves. On the shorter side, smooth down and pull to the other side at the nape of the neck and secure with a bobby pin.
If you want to be even more glamorous, try twisting or braiding the shorter side – this will also secure it that little bit more.
Gold is big for December, and we love Amanda’s twist on the smoky eye. Use a gold shimmer all over the lid and along the lower lash line, following with a deep dark brown (gold will really make blue and green eyes pop). Take the dark brown along the lower lash line but only on the outer corners and this time don’t line the waterline – emphasis should be on the winged dark eyeshadow!
Two colours perfect for this look are Daniel Sandler Polychromatic Eyeshadow in Fresco and Daniel Sandler Matte Eyeshadow in Dark Brown.
Keep the rest of the makeup simple with a satin finish medium coverage foundation, and a hint of pink blush on the apples of the cheeks.
