Without doubt my favourite product of the week (I’d actually go as far as saying product of the month for this one) is milk_shake. This is one of our newest products at Hairtrade so I couldn’t wait to try it out.

milk_shake products are inspired by nature and made with a mix of professional ingredients including milk protein. The range consists of shampoos, conditioners, intensive hair treatments and hair styling products and designed for every hair type.

The main products I’ve been using are the milk_shake Colour Maintainer Shampoo and Conditioner. My first thought as soon as I used it was “this actually smells of ice-cream” and I absolutely love that about it! It’s not too strong; it’s just that lovely sweet ice-cream smell (like those mini milk ice lollies!) which you don’t find that often in colour maintainer shampoos.

The shampoo itself gently cleans my hair whilst keeping its colour and gives just the right amount of moisture that my coloured hair needs. The conditioner then makes my hair extremely soft and easy to manage – the perfect duo.

The range also consists of shampoos and conditioners for other hair types such as a Daily Frequent Shampoo for all hair types; Intensive Conditioning Shampoo for damaged hair; Volume Solution Shampoo for fine hair; and Curl Passion Shampoo for curly hair. Each and every one of these smell divine!

I’ve also been using the milk_shake Active Yoghurt Mask (suitable for both natural and coloured hair). It is a rich mask based on yoghurt amino acids, rice and avocado oils and it nourishes and conditions the hair perfectly. For drier hair, the milk_shake Active Milk Mask is ideal as it works to deeply nourish and reinforce dry or damaged hair.
